spatstat 1.40-0 released

Today spatstat 1.40-0 ‘Do The Maths’ has been uploaded to CRAN where Windows and OSX binaries also are available. You can also download it from the github repository. The main changes are (full release notes here):

  • Important bug fixes.
  • Mathematical operators now apply to images.
  • Parametric estimates of relative risk from fitted point process models.
  • Standard errors for relative risk (parametric and non-parametric).
  • Kernel smoothing and rose diagrams for angular data.
  • Perceptually uniform colour maps.
  • Hierarchical interactions for multitype patterns.
  • Hard core parameters in all interactions no longer need to be specified and will be estimated from data.
  • Improvements to analysis of deviance and model selection.
  • New datasets.
  • New vignette, summarising all datasets installed with spatstat.
  • Tests and diagnostics now include a Monte Carlo option.
  • Faster checking of large datasets.
  • Faster simulations.
  • Code for drawing diagrams (arrows, scale bars).
